Unity support for Xbox One X is now available

Unity today announced that support for Xbox One X is now available for developers. Game developers can now create Unity project and deploy it to Xbox One X in addition to other members of the Xbox One family: Xbox One and Xbox One S. With Xbox One X support, developers can take advantage of the increased processing power and 4K HDR output.

Unity team also mentioned that the process for developing games for Xbox One X is the same as developing for the existing Xbox One family. Once developers get access to Xbox Development Kit, they will also get access to the Xbox One Development forum for Unity.

Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4.17 which was released last week comes with support for Xbox One X. Developing games for Xbox One X does not require a separate build platform – compiling for Xbox One is sufficient and data cooked for Xbox One will also work on Xbox One X.
