OneNote’s latest update on Windows 10 brings a bunch of new features

Microsoft is today releasing a major update for OneNote in Windows 10 today. The company is adding some smart new features to the OneNote app in Windows 10, along with improved features that’ll allow users to take better notes.

The update includes a new Text to Math feature, which as the name suggests, will let you convert text equations to actual math equations that can be solved or used to automagically draw a graph on OneNote. There’s also now a new Smart Lookup feature that enables users to get some rich information from a certain word or phrase — all you have to do is right click a word, hit Smart Lookup, and OneNote will try to give you some rich information such as articles from Wikipedia, definitions, and more.

In terms of content, Microsoft now lets you insert pictures from the web into your notes, and you can also now make tables of “all shapes and sizes.” Microsoft’s also updated the highlight feature that now lets you choose the color of the highlight rather than using yellow by default.
