Watch: The first unboxing of the Xbox One X Project Scorpio edition

The long-awaited day has finally arrived, and the Xbox One X, which Microsoft repeatedly notes is the most powerful console in the world, is finally available to pre-order.

To celebrate Microsoft has released a special edition of the device, the Project Scorpio version, keeping the now iconic code name alive for a bit longer.

The box for the console resemble the original Xbox, it features the old Xbox green colour, the case has a special texture with a gradient and the words  “Project Scorpio Edition” in green lettering is emblazoned on the console and controller.

Major Nelson did not make it to GamesCom but did manage to be the first to post an unboxing of the console, which retails for $499, which can be seen in full below:
