Microsoft announces Age of Empires IV, a brand-new title for the Age of Empires franchise

At gamescom 2017 today, Microsoft announced that they are working with Relic Entertainment on a brand-new title for the Age of Empires franchise, Age of Empires IV. Check out the official announce trailer above. Microsoft Studios partnered with Relic Entertainment as they already have a good experience in developing great RTS games.

“We are thrilled to be working with them and can’t wait for fans to see their unique and exciting contribution to the Age of Empires franchise. For all of you who have remained faithful fans of the Age of Empires franchise for the last 20 years, we say thank you – we cannot wait to bring you the next chapter of history,” wrote Adam Isgreen, Creative Director, Microsoft.

Along with the announcement, Microsoft today also announced that they are working on Definitive Editions of Age of Empires II and Age of Empires III.
