Remastered L.A. Noire comes out this November, runs in 4K on Xbox One X

Rockstar Games might be primarily known for the Grand Theft Auto series, but they didn’t slack off when working on their other games. Titles like Red Dead Redemption, Bully, and L.A. Noire are proof of that. The first two games mentioned there became backward compatible on the Xbox One ages ago, with the third receiving over 48 thousand votes on the backward compatibility UserVoice. While it looks like L.A. Noire won’t be joining that program, it’s getting a remaster.

Rockstar announced a few different things related to the game today. Aside from ports of the game to all current generation consoles, they’re also working on rebuilt versions of seven cases from the original game for the HTC Vive. This will likely be available through Steam VR, meaning it might work with Windows Mixed Reality in the future.

The Xbox One version contains plenty of the bells and whistles you would expect in a remaster. On normal Xbox One systems the game will run in 1080p, include all previous downloadable content, visuals will be improved with better lighting and textures – the usual. The game will be optimized for all the power the Xbox One X brings to the table, including running in 4K.

The boringly titled L.A. Noire For Xbox One will be available on November 14th. Pre-orders are not available at the time of writing.
