Asus’s monster laptop with integrated Xbox One wireless controller module has passed through the FCC.

The laptop features a massive 17.3 inch screen with a 144 Mhz refresh rate, 7 ms response time and Nvidia’s G-Sync technology.

It also offers Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card and Intel Core i7-7820HK processor 2.9GHz.

Of particular interest to ourselves, however, is that the Xbox One Wireless Controller module, which was meant to be released in August in the USA but which was then unaccountable delayed to 2018.  With the laptop and Xbox module now clearing the FCC this may mean the dongle may now hit the market a bit sooner than expected.

NotebookItalia has had some hands-on time with the ASUS ROG Chimera G703VI at IFA 2017, which clocks in at 4.8 kg (10.6 pounds.)

They note it supports at to 64 GB DDR4 2400 / 2800MHz memory in 4 slots and storage options that include hard drives up to 2TB, 1TB total disks or SSDs up to 512GB SATA3 or PCIe Gen3x4 in Raid 0.

Besides the integrated Xbox One wireless controller module, the laptop also features buttons for recording and streaming your gameplay, an Xbox button to launch the gaming hub, RGB backlit keyboard with ASUS Aura technology, and four USB 3.1 Type-A ports , a USB Type-C, a microSD card reader, combo audio jack, HDMI, RJ-45 and Mini DisplayPort.

The monster device is expected to hit the market by the middle of October for no less than 3000 Euro.
