Twitter will soon let you bookmark tweets

ساخت وبلاگ

Twitter is working on adding bookmarking support to its website and apps for avid users of the service (via the Verge). Users will be able to save interesting tweets to a private bookmarking location, so they can reference them later. This is similar to existing features present in the service Pocket, and Microsoft’s Edge Reading List feature.

While tweets may not feel like the most optimal things to bookmark, it makes a lot of sense when looking at the recent changes to how people use Twitter, as well as the addition of 140 extra characters to the twitter text box. Twitter threads have risen as a way of people to share their experiences on certain subjects — for instance sexual harassment, criminal law or just really fun stories. These tweets can range anywhere from 10 tweets to hundreds of tweets developed over the course of an hour. Bookmarking the start of a tweet, therefore, becomes a better idea for people who want to keep track of the conversation, without necessarily retweeting or liking for all the world to see.
