Thousands disappointed as Wileyfox’s Windows 10 Mobile handset delayed

A few days ago we reported about a new handset from Wileyfox with Windows 10 Mobile to be coming on December 4th, 2017. This was not a flagship phone but was a budget phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor. Wileyfox is targeting the replacement market for Windows Phones that have been deployed by a large number of companies in the UK during the heyday of the OS, with the full name of the handset (Wileyfox Pro with Windows 10 BUSINESS 4G) making the target market quite clear.  It still, however, attracted the attention of quite a few Windows Phone fans looking to buy it but now it looks like these fans will have to wait quite a bit more.

Today, it was spotted on Amazon UK’s website that the shipping date has been changed by 2 weeks ahead of the earlier announced date. The phone will now start shipping on December 18th,2017, cutting it rather close if you were gifting yourself an increasingly rare new Windows Phone.

Anyway, you can still pre-order the device and get it when it starts shipping for just £189.99.  Any of our die-hard readers tempted? Let us know below.
