Microsoft now allows you to download data from Activity history page

Recently we reported about new RS4 Insider Builds showing traces of Windows Timeline which included an Activity History Page. Now it looks like Microsoft is allowing users to create an archive and download all the data from the Activity History Page.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Microsoft Activity Page records all the activities you do on your Windows Device and Microsoft Services. You can go to Activity Page and have a look at everything you have done recently including your location history, web and voice searches, browser history etc. This is a really nice way of tracking everything you’re doing on your Microsoft Account but might ring a privacy bell. For the concerned, Microsoft did also provide an easy way to switch off tracking on your device so that the Activity History page doesn’t keep any log.

This might not be a really big feature but it’s great to have the ability to download data in case you decide to wipe off the data or delete your account. What do you readers think of this new feature? Let us know in the Idea section below.
