Microsoft’s innovation engine is Microsoft Research, their sprawling conglomeration of more than 1000 scientists, engineers and mathematicians who are developing the technology which will shape the products of tomorrow.
The group is surprisingly open, publishing widely and often writing about their work, but the information is often not in the most accessible format.
Now to address that gap the division has launched a new podcast designed to keep enthusiasts up to date with the latest developments in areas such as AI or Quantum Computers.
The podcast is being hosted by Gretchen Huizinga, a former adjunct university professor and she describes the show as something which “brings you closer to the cutting edge of technology research, and the scientists behind it.”
A recent episode featured Dr Eric Horvitz, who has been working with Microsoft Research for a quarter of a century and who is focussed on artificial intelligence.
The Microsoft Research podcast drops every Monday and is available via RSS, email, or iTunes, and on Android devices by following this link.
