We posted a few days ago about leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy S9+, which emerged from an online forum.

At the time we did not know if the design changes were real, but Samsung itself appears to have confirmed it after an update to its Samsung Health app (noticed by KeyforWeb.it).

That appears to show a design at the back identical to the leaked render, with the camera in a vertical orientation and the flash and pulse oximeter to the side of the camera assembly.

Importantly this would have the fingerprint reader below the camera and more accessible than in the Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy Note 8.

Other changes in the renders is a further improved screen to body ratio and the presence of dual-cameras on the larger S9+.

The render doesn’t give any other information regarding the specs but presumably, Samsung will make sure they are top of the line on its upcoming flagship device.

There have been rumours that Samsung may release the device earlier than usual, to compete with the iPhone X, but more recently we heard the handset may not make it to CES 2018 next month.

Samsung handsets come with Microsoft’s Office productivity apps pre-installed and are currently on sale in the Microsoft online and physical stores.
