Flipkart rolls out an update for its Windows 10 app

Indian E-commerce giant Flipkart has rolled out a new update for their Windows 10 app. The latest update bumps the app to version 4.0.3.0 and makes the app just a web wrapper. The update is live for both Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile but it just opens the website.

There’s nothing more in the update apart from the app being just a web wrapper. The company hasn’t updated the changelog in a while so we aren’t sure if there’s anything else. Last year the company noted in the blog post saying they’re committed to providing support for Windows 10. Amar Nagaram, Director, Mobile Engineering said:

Over the last few months, we have been working on the Windows 10 platform to create richer and more personalized experience for our consumers. We have been working towards creating a seamless experience similar to that of an app and Windows 10 surely provides opportunities to introduce innovative features.
