Intel leaks Core i7 processor with Radeon RX Vega Graphics

Earlier this year, Intel announced a surprising partnership with its arch-rival AMD to enable sleeker, thinner PCs with high-performance CPU and discrete graphics. To deliver great performance without compromising on the thickness of the device, Intel said that they are combining their Embedded Multi-Die Interconnect Bridge (EMIB) technology with a new power-sharing framework to have AMD GPUs on Intel’s processor chips. Now, it looks like Intel and AMD’s partnership is also expanding to the desktop processor market.

Intel India website has now revealed the Intel’s first processor with Radeon RX Vega Graphics processor. The upcoming Intel Core i7-8809G Processor will come with AMD’s Radeon RX Vega M GH Graphics in addition to Intel HD Graphics 630. Intel has rated 100W Target Package TDP for this chip. It is also good to see that Intel has selected Vega graphics over mainstream “Polaris” graphics. This processor would have 180GB/s of memory bandwidth for its GPU and offer 204GB/s for its CPU. Intel is expected to make an official announcement about this processor at CES next week.
