Burnout Paradise may be getting remastered for Xbox One according to a retailer listing

Rumors are gaining steam that Burnout Paradise is getting remastered later this year thanks to leaked retail listings in Brazil and Japan (via Eurogamer).

Last month in December, GamePress.br found a listing from a Brazilian retailer that outed the existence of Burnout Paradise for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Now Gemastu reports that a physical edition of Burnout Paradise is seemingly set to release in Japan on March 16, 2018 for PlayStation 4. While an Xbox One version was not mentioned in the Japanese leak, it appears it will at least launch on that system in other regions according to the Brazilian listing.

EA has not officially announced or confirmed a Burnout Paradise remaster. It’s unclear if it will feature enhancements for current-gen consoles or if it will simply be a port. Either way, based on multiple reports, it looks like we’re going back to Paradise City in March.

Burnout Paradise first released in 2008 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. It was the last main game in the popular racing series developed by Criterion Games. Breaking away from earlier games in the series, it featured an open world as opposed to individual tracks.

Thankfully you won’t need to wait until March to play it on Xbox One because Burnout Paradise is a backward compatible title.
