AdDuplex: Windows 10 Fall Creators Update hits roughly 75% of PCs

We’ll need

The Windows 10 Fall Creators update continues marching on, according to AdDuplex’s report.  It is now powering just under 75% of Windows 10 PCs, which is a fairly decent amount.

Some of this growth also seems to come from users of the anniversary Update finally upgrading to more modern versions of the OS, cutting the number of users on the AU from 10.5% to 6.6%.

There really isn’t much else to say about the report. While Microsoft did lead in FCU growth before, it isn’t anymore, and growth is a bit more evenly distributed overall.

Oddly enough, the Surface Laptop is lagging when it comes to modern PCs running the FCU. While it did ship with the Creators Update, perhaps not all users have received the rollout of the FCU, and Microsoft’s Update Assistant tool not working on Windows 10 S could also be a contributing factor to that.  We’ll need to see how other Windows 10 S PCs are treated going forward, to draw a conclusion.

Microsoft’s Windows as a Service, for better or worse, seems to be working.
