After much delay and anticipation, Samsung has finally rolled out Oreo update for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. With the release of this update, Samsung gets itself added to the list of OEMs to rollout Oreo update for their devices.

The update just went live but there’s a high chance that you might not get it right away. The updates usually roll out on an incremental basis so it will take some time for the update to be available for everyone. For now, SamMobile has only been able to confirm the availability of a manual download for beta testers in Germany but we believe the update will roll out to everyone soon.

According to SamMoile, you will need 500 MB of free internal storage space if you participated in the beta program, but for the general public, 1 GB is recommended. The Oreo update will bring lots of new features and changes including better Brixby support and keyboard improvements.

We do hope that Samsung did a decent job in terms of the stability and performance but the real test is to get everyone update to Android Oreo.
