Developers: Microsoft now allows you to set the price of your Microsoft Store app to any value

ساخت وبلاگ

Developers can set their own price for their apps and games in Microsoft Store. But they were forced to select among the limited choices which Microsoft was offering. For example, they can set $11.99, but they can’t set $11.11 as their app’s price. Today, Microsoft is removing this restriction with the support for Free-form pricing. Developers can now set the price of their app, game, or add-on to any value they choose in a market’s local currency. Be it $1.11 or 99 INR or CNY ¥11.11. The pricing possibilities are endless! Here’s how to use this feature in Windows Dev Center:

  • Select the market where you want to override the base price with a free-form price:
    • Click Select markets for base price override, select the specific market, and then click Create.
  • Override the base price
    • Select Free-form price from the drop-down menu and then enter your value.
    • The entered free–form price must be within the valid range (for example, in USD the range is $0.99 – $1,999.99) and must be in the correct format for that currency. Validation warnings will alert you to any errors in your free-form price.
