Blizzard has announced that Overwatch will be free to play this weekend on consoles and PC. Anyone looking to try out the game will be able to play its full roster of heroes and maps.

From February 16-19, those with an active Xbox Live Gold membership can jump into Overwatch for free. If you’re playing it on PC, just download Blizzard’s Battle.net client, sign up for a free account, and install the game from there. Pre-loading on Xbox One begins February 13.

Its full roster of maps and heroes includes 16 locations spanning 4 game modes and 26 playable characters. The game modes are Assault, Escort, Control, and Assault/Escort Hybrid. You can choose to play against AI or challenge yourself against other players of similar skill.

Players will have the ability to level up, earn loot boxes, and unlock a variety of different customization options. If you decide to purchase Overwatch after its free weekend, all of your progress will carry over.

Usually a sale accompanies a free weekend like this, but as of now Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition is still currently $59.99 on the Microsoft Store. Blizzard did not reveal if it is set to be discounted at a later date.
