Shenmue I and II are coming to Xbox One this year

SEGA has announced that Shenmue I and II are making their way to Xbox One later this year. This will mark the first time that the original Shenmue comes to one of Microsoft’s consoles. Its successor, Shenmue II, released for Xbox all the way back in 2002.

According to SEGA, the re-releases will feature “fully scalable screen resolution,” updated UI, and various PC graphics options. While specific enhancements were not revealed, SEGA assures fans that these will be the “definitive versions” of each game. As an added bonus for long time fans of the series, players will have the ability to choose from Japanese and English voiceovers as well as which control scheme they’d like; classic or modern.

Though a listing for these re-releases isn’t up on the Microsoft Store just yet, you can find a listing for them on Steam. Pricing has yet to be revealed.

Shenmue I and II are set to release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC sometime in 2018. SEGA did not provide a specific date.
