Xbox’s April update begins rolling out today, players can now share captured content directly to Twitter

Features that Xbox Insiders have been enjoying for weeks are finally beginning to roll out today for everyone with Xbox’s April update.

Xbox users will now have more video and display choices at their disposal. First up is auto-low latency mode (ALLM). If you’re playing on a TV that supports ALLM, your Xbox will notify your display when you are playing a game so your screen can make the switch. Next up is support for variable refresh rates on AMD Radeon FreeSync and FreeSync 2 compatible displays. This technology should reduce stuttering and make your gaming experience look much more smooth. Last up in the video department is support for 1440p resolution on Xbox One X and Xbox One S. All of these new features can be accessed and turned on in the Display & Sound section in your Xbox settings.

Players will also now be able to take advantage of the Share Controller functionality on Mixer. This will allow players viewing your stream to take over your controller and help get through a section of a game for you.

One of the biggest new additions is the ability to share any of your captured game content directly to Twitter. If you happen you snag a cool screenshot or take a quick clip of an epic moment while you’re gaming, you won’t have to go through the usual hassle of trying to get that content onto Twitter. Shared captures will now display and play directly on your Twitter instead of appearing as a link.

A few of the more simple changes include an option to switch between a dark and light theme based on time of day, the ability to filter invitation requests in clubs, the ability to balance game audio against background music, and an updated look to the Microsoft Edge app.
