Images of Microsoft’s upcoming Surface Pro device leaked

Images and details of the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro device got leaked on the internet today. Microsoft is expected to reveal this device at an event in Shangai next week. By looking at the image above, you can easily notice that this new device looks very similar to the current Surface Pro 4 model. Microsoft will be updating the processor to 7th gen Intel processor for improved performance and battery life. Apart from the processor change, Microsoft is bringing colorful Alcantara fabric-covered keyboard to the Surface Pro 4 range. Similar to the recently announced Surface Laptop, Surface Pro keyboards and Surface Pen will be offered in 4 different colors: Charcoal / Burgundy / Platinum / Teal.

Evleaks today tweeted that Microsoft will call this device just “Surface Pro”. I’m happy that Microsoft is simplifying the branding instead of calling it “Surface Pro 4 refresh” or something like that. Yusuf Mehdi, the CVP of Microsoft’s Windows and Devices group said recently that there might be an update to the Surface Pro 4 coming soon and today’s leaks confirm it.
