Latest Overwatch patch adds a new map and more

It seems like Battlefield 1 isn’t the only big shooter getting a map-focused update today. Blizzard’s popular hero based shooter Overwatch is getting a fairly substantial update today, and it’s mainly focused on the Horizon Lunar Colony.

The Horizon Lunar Colony is a brand new Assault map, and Blizzard’s own description of it sounds fairly intriguing.

Built as a first step towards humanity’s renewed exploration of space, the Horizon Lunar Colony’s goal was to examine the effects of prolonged extraterrestrial habitation—on human and ape alike. The scientists’ research proved incredibly promising…until, suddenly, all contact and communications with the base were lost.

Additionally, Blizzard has added both the Oni Genji and Officer D.Va skins to loot boxes. You previously had to play Heroes of the Storm to unlock them.

Some other noteworthy changes include extra options to customize when making custom games like player gravity and jump height, and a few changes to the game’s user interface when browsing player stats.
