HP Envy X2 Always Connected PC back on order for shipment in 10 days

In early March we reported that the HP Envy X2 has been delayed and that HP has closed pre-orders for the Snapdragon-powered Always Connected PC.

Back in December, HP announced new ENVY x2, their first Snapdragon-based Windows 10 device at Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit. The device became available for pre-order on the 22nd February with a ship date of the 9th March.

Then HP has pushed back the release date by 2 weeks, to the 23rd March 2018.  The device did not of course ship in the end, likely waiting for the final release of the April 2018 Windows 10 Update.

That date has now arrived, and pre-orders have once again opened, for shipment on the 8th May 2018.

The HP ENVY x2 is a detachable PC like Microsoft’s Surface Pro but it is powered by Snapdragon 835 processor. This device is extremely thin and it measures just 6.9mm thickness. And it weighs just 1.54 pounds. Using the nano SIM connectivity, you can enjoy 4G LTE speeds on this device. HP also claims that it will offer up to 22 hours of battery life. This device features 12-inch full HD display with support for Windows Ink.

Windows 10 April 2018 update has specific customizations for always connected PCs which should make them work more reliably and make user operation easier.
