Wi-Fi Sense feature in Windows 10 automatically coects you to Wi-Fi around you to help you save your cellular data and give you more Inteet coectivity options. It also let you exchange Wi-Fi network access with your Facebook friends, Outlook.com contacts, or Skype contacts to give and get Inteet access without seeing each other’s Wi-Fi network passwords.
With the Windows 10 Build 14342 released today, Microsoft is removing this feature due to low usage.
We have removed the Wi-Fi Sense feature that allows you to share Wi-Fi networks with your contacts and to be automatically coected to networks shared by your contacts. The cost of updating the code to keep this feature working combined with low usage and low demand made this not worth further investment.
Wi-Fi Sense feature that will get you coected to open Wi-Fi hotspots that it knows about through crowdsourcing will continue to be available in Windows 10.
