Xiaomi is rumoured to be working on an 11 and 13 inch Macbook Air clone, with the device said to be virtually portless, except for a single USB-C socket.
The sleek device was rumoured to be shipping with an Atom processor, but now a new leaked has revealed more than respectable specs, including a Skylake processor.
The 13 inch PC is said to feature and Intel Core i7-6500U (2 cores, 4 threads, base clock speed 2.50GHz, Turbo speed 3.10GHz) and 8 GB of RAM, which should be more than enough for the vast majority of desktop work. The PCs will run Windows 10 and unfortunately not include a touch screen, which I feel is a pity.
Hopefully the promising device will not be an exact Macbook Air clone, as this will likely inhibit any success the company will have in the west.
