A new Xbox One update is rolling out to everyone which includes further optimizations for the interface. Ever since the Creators Update, the console has suffered from numerous issues including game covers not loading properly, sound errors, crashes and even random restarts. While the first patch fixed many of these problems, it still wasn’t enough. Hopefully today’s patch will further optimize the interface.
The main issue many gamers still have with the Xbox One is that it’s very slow. When you compare the Xbox One menus to that of PlayStation 4, you can see just how slow and unresponsive it is. It’s been years since the Xbox One launched but Microsoft is still struggling when it comes to speed. While Project Scorpio is expected to alleviate many of these concerns with its faster memory, hopefully the company will take the time to optimize the experience for standard Xbox One consoles. We’ve been testing out the update for the past hour and everything does feel that much more refined and smooth. If there are any major developments we’ll keep you posted but so far it seems like a regular patch which improves “performance and stability”.
