Hyperkin is partnering with Microsoft to bring back the original Xbox ‘Duke’ controller

Accessory maker Hyperkin has partnered with Microsoft to bring back the original Xbox “Duke” controller for latest Xbox One consoles. Hyperkin describes this new controller as a faithful recreation of the original controller’s form-factor with some updated features like a logo display screen, left and right bumpers, and a 9 ft. detachable cable. Seamus Blackley, the co-founder of the Xbox was also involved in this project.

Yesterday, Microsoft aounced that they are bringing support for original Xbox titles to Xbox One consoles through Backward Compatibility program. Yes, all your original Xbox discs will work with Xbox One family of consoles and the digital licenses you bought will carry over. Microsoft’s classic Crimson Skies will be one of the first title to join in the program.

With both these aouncements, Microsoft is allowing gamers to relive the original Xbox gaming experience this holiday season.
