Earlier this month, Microsoft aounced they are partnering with Oculus to bring Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition on Oculus Rift. At GDC yesterday, they have confirmed that they are working to bring Minecraft experience to Samsung’s GearVR as well. Oculus team and Minecraft team collaborated to bring VR support for the mobile edition of the Minecraft.
GearVR headset is only compatible with Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 edge, Note5, S6, S6 edge Plus and S6 edge devices for now. Hopefully, Microsoft will work with them to make it compatible with flagship Windows 10 Mobile devices.
