EA will release a new Battlefield game in 2018

Battlefield 1 was a massive success for EA and we all know that the next entry is the franchise will come along one day. Well, “one day” might actually be sooner than we expected. The publisher recently held their earnings call and while they boasted about the success of the game and their other franchises, the company mentioned that a new Battlefield game will come out in 2018.

We don’t know what the next entry in the franchise will be but given the fact that the company just went to World War I, it’s safe to assume that the next game will probably take place in a modern setting. Maybe after that they’ll go to World War II again? I’m still holding out hope that the next game will be Battlefield: Bad Company 3!
