Yesterday Microsoft rolled out a new build for those on Fast Ring Windows Insider Program which brought a nomenclature change. Starting this build, Microsoft decided to rename Quiet Hours to Focus Assist. The company justified this move as a result of new capabilities added since the last build.
While Microsoft had a clear motive for the change, the Windows Insider community seems to have some issues dealing with this new change. This was quite evident from the tweets by Windows Insiders after the build rolled out. You can head below to take a look at some of the tweets by Windows Insiders.
Focus assist is a stupid name.

Do we get pornhub quite hours, pardon focus assist? *sarcasm

For me it feels like Quiet Hours is a consumer name, while Focus Assist feels more like a business name.

Focus Assist is the new Story Remix.

There are still more tweets out there which we didn’t added here but the tweets were enough to make Brandon LeBlanc come out to defend the company’s decision.
Its not simply about "stopping notifications" though. I don't mean to sound salesy but it really does assist you and focusing at times you need to focus and keep things quiet.
