Microsoft aounces the general availability of Azure Databricks

At Coect() developer event last year, Microsoft aounced the preview of Azure Databricks service for highest-performance streaming analytics projects. Azure Databricks is an Apache Spark-based analytics platform that delivers one-click setup, streamlined workflows and an interactive workspace. Azure Databricks also comes with native integration with Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Storage, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Active Directory and Power BI. Microsoft today aounced the general availability of Azure Databricks.

Microsoft developed Azure Databricks with the following three design principles.

• Enhance user productivity in developing Big Data applications and analytics pipelines.
• Enable customers to scale globally without limits by working on big data with a fully managed, cloud-native service that automatically scales to meet their needs, without high cost or complexity.
• Ensure to provide customers with the enterprise security and compliance they have come to expect from Azure.
